This Advanced Practice Training Conferenceis for NGO Managers and Practitioners, Government Child Protection, Domestic Violence, Health and Human services Policy Makers, Front line Staff, Health Professionals, Police, Lawyers, Teachers and all Professionals interested in working through the complex maze of Child Protection, Family Support and Intervention and Domestic Violence issues in our society
This conference aims to be different. Over the three days, participants will spend extended time with each of the keynote speakers to gain knew knowledge and skills. There is also an integrated program of self care including themed lunches, a cocktail party and networking opportunities.
We’ve set the bar high– the aim is that no-one leaves this training conference without significant knowledge and new perspectives as well as renewed vigor in applying learned strategies to their practice with children, women, families and the community.

NEW FUNDING AVAILABLE TO INCLUDE VULNERABLE FAMLIES AND CHILDREN IN RECREATIONAL ACTIVITY |
The Department of Communities (Sports and Recreation) have announced new funding to boost the participation of vulnerable families and children in recreational sporting activities. This new round of funding which closes on April 16th 2010 is also open to non sporting organisations who work with vulnerable children, young people and families. It will give opportunities for organisations who work with these families to facilitate the inclusion of recreational activities into their program areas.
